Full‐Time Citrus eSchool students are enrolled in Citrus County’s virtual school and take a minimum of six courses virtually.
Beginning in the 2023-2024 school year, admission criteria for full-time Citrus eSchool students in grades 1-12* include the following:
1. Passing grades in all classes in the prior year.
2. Proficient (level 3 or higher) scores on all applicable state tests in the prior year, including:
a. FAST Progress Monitoring 3 for Mathematics and Language Arts
b. Statewide Science Assessment (grades 5 and 8)
c. End of Course Exams: Civics (grade 7), Algebra 1, Geometry, Biology, and United States History
3. High School students must be on track to graduate with their 9th grade cohort and must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher
*Admission criteria do not apply to students entering Kindergarten in the 2023-2024 school year.
Full‐time virtual students are required to participate in state and district testing, including final exams for each course, at the eSchool Learning Center. Courses follow the District School Calendar for Citrus County Schools.
Full‐ time Citrus eSchool students are eligible to check out a district‐issued iPad.
Families may request full‐time enrollment in Citrus eSchool by completing a New School Enrollment Form in Skyward Family Access. For instructions, click here. A submitted application is not a guarantee of acceptance; student history will be reviewed and the family notified of acceptance or provided other options for taking classes virtually.
